Coordinator, Creative Writing (Pre-College Summer Institute)
Adjunct Assistant, First-Year Writing Program

Les Robinson earned a master’s in Fiction Writing from Temple University. He has taught writing at Temple since 2008 and at University of the Arts since 2013. His classes use critical inquiry to engage with the arts, primarily using the Philadelphia environment as subject.

He began teaching for UArts’ Pre-College Program in 2014 and has served as coordinator of the Creative Writing Institute since 2016. His Summer Institute classes in each writing discipline focus on exploring objectively sound creative methods. They also give students a broad scope for experimenting with style, voice and theme, but also encourage looking outward at the world, to draw connections between classroom knowledge and engagement with the rest of life.
