Art, Media, + Design: Alternative Painting, Drawing

Adam Lovitz paints to consider both the collective and unique nature between the dust on earth and that of a planet not yet explored. Layering acrylic residues that soak in mucky water with paint chips and minerals, he reworks a surface through an embodiment of terrestrial relic licked with city ruminations. Currently living and working in Philadelphia, Lovitz attended the Vermont Studio Center in 2009. In 2012, he received his MFA from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Recent exhibition venues include The University of the Arts, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, and Fjord Gallery, all in Philadelphia, along with The Satellite Show Miami, and the Delaware Center for Contemporary Art. He is a former member of Philly artist collective, Little Berlin, and now serves on the gallery committee at University City Arts League. MFA, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. BFA, University of Delaware. View his work: http://www.adamlovitz.com/
