One-Week Intensive: Creative Writing

Rahul Mehta is the author of a novel, No Other World (Harper, 2017), and a short story collection, Quarantine (HarperPerennial, 2011; Random House India, 2010), which won a Lambda Literary Award and the Asian American Literary Award for Fiction. His short stories have appeared in the Kenyon Review, Epoch, The Sun, Noon and the prize anthology New Stories from the South 2009, edited by Madison Smartt Bell. His essays have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, the International Herald Tribune and Marie Claire India. Named to Out magazine’s “Out 100” list of inspiring individuals for 2011, Mehta has taught at Alfred University and the University of Virginia Young Writers Workshop, and is currently a senior lecturer at the University of the Arts.
