Shannon Ryan at UArts

BFA '18

Junior year Illustration Major Shannon Ryan is this year's Zankel Scholar at the Society of Illustrators. She is officially the best junior year illustration major in the country!

Chairs and directors of illustration programs across the country were encouraged by the Society to recommend for consideration for this scholarship only their best Junior year level students. The process required a portfolio of work, writing and a personal interview. This is the 11th year the Society has been honored to seek the best of the junior class and to financially support his or her senior year of college. See:

Shannon's achievement is a remarkable thing. We applaud her for her work, talent, vision and incredible mind and wish her great success in her upcoming senior year. Congratulate Shannon yourself and see her work at:

UArts Illustration is on a roll! You may recall last year, Illustration Major Lizzy O'Donnell '17 won the Zankel too and James Firnhaber '16, was the runner-up the year before. All these recognitions speak of the quality of our students, faculty and premier program. This story needs to be posted and kept live in all promotions for the university.
