Connie Vandarakis Michael is the Associate Dean in the Division of Liberal Arts, and an Assistant Professor in the School of Dance at the University of the Arts. She holds an MA from Johns Moore University in Liverpool England in Dance Theater performance, and doctoral studies at Temple University. She holds a BS from Northern Illinois University in Exercise Science. Connie is a Master certified DanceAbility teacher and serves on the Executive Board of DanceAbility International. Her international research in dance primary resides in the method of DanceAbility and its practice, teacher training, and performance. Her dance teaching/performance residencies includes ImPulsTanz International Festival in Vienna, Austria, Trier, Germany, Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, Liverpool, England, Montevideo, Uruguay, Tijuana, Mexico, The Gamiba, West Africa and Tamil Nadu, India, and the University of Malta, Malta.
