Some of the best design comes in under the radar. The audience may not even be aware that a sound cue, for instance, has been playing that made them feel cold. But they really felt that moment.
Nick Embree is an associate profesor in the Theater Design & Technology program at UArts, teaching Set Design, Intro to Design, and advanced design courses.
Nick has designed sets for more than 100 productions in Philadelphia and the region, he's been nominated for the Barrymore Award, Philly's top theater honor, for set design, and is a three-time finalist for the F. Otto Haas Award as the top emerging Philadelphia theater artist.
