Student Film Featured on WXPN’s The Key

April 23, 2019

In a short film created for a University of the Arts Documentary Workshop class with School of Film Program Director Michael Attie, Luke Carpenter ’20 (Film and Video) reveals his brother’s battle for sobriety and creative inspiration. The subject of the film, titled Seventeen Twenty Four, is Seth Carpenter—Luke’s brother and a local singer-songwriter known as Bucolic. The brothers offer both brutal honesty and a glimmer of hope in the short, which documents Seth’s relationships with music and self-destruction. It was featured on WXPN music blog The Key earlier this month.

Bucolic’s first album, Oneirogens, is due out May 25; much of his music is available now on streaming services.
