Meet the FYGs

First-Year Guides (FYGs) welcome new students to UArts at New Student Orientation, where they are assigned a group of incoming students. FYGs also reach out to their assigned group throughout the semester and participate in First-Year Student programming, which helps first-year students with the transition from high school to college.
 

Meet the Orientation Coordinators

Orientation coordinators assist the professional staff in the Office of Campus Life in the execution of Orientation and the planning and training of FYGs. The coordinators host FYG training sessions on topics like customer service and ice breakers, help manage event logistics, and serve as a resource to the FYGs to guide them through training and New Student Orientation.
