JOB TITLE: Manager of Academic Technology
DEPARTMENT: Support Services
REPORTS TO: Director of Support and Print Services
Summary:
Oversee the implementation and support of academic technology utilized in classrooms and public spaces, as well as assist and advise the Director of Support and Print Services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Research and development of classroom and public space technology, including but not limited to audio and visual elements
- Work with Desktop Management to choose and implement appropriate computing technology
- Work with Media Resources to support specialty suites and studios.
- Outreach to academic divisions
- Participate in long term planning for all academic technology on campus
- Participate in reviewing technology requests
- Specking and pricing technology
- Oversee ongoing maintenance of implemented technology
- Spec and create student bundles
- Prepare bids and help select integrators
- Oversee installations
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures
- Assist with planning the Support Services annual budget
- Respond to tickets assigned through the Help Desk
- Coordinate resources for events scheduled in 25Live
- Keep an inventory of consumable parts and place orders
- Assist in maintaining an accurate hardware inventory
- Inform and advise the Director of Support and Print Services
- Perform administrative duties and staff supervision at times when the Director is not available

Education:
- At least an Associate’s degree in a field related to technology
Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of academic technology
- Experience working with integrators

- Building Collaborative Relationships – this position advises and works collaboratively to determine best technology solutions for a given need.
