Why did you decide to become a FYG?
I loved orientation last year and wanted to get in on the fun myself! I also wanted the opportunity to connect with first year students and guide them in adjusting to college.
What's your favorite thing about UArts?
My favorite thing about UArts has to be the way that they truly encourage students’ creativity and give them space to cultivate their art in an authentic way. They embrace each student for who they are and allow them to explore that during their time here.
What makes you excited about New Student Orientation?
I am so excited to meet everyone! I cannot wait to introduce all of the freshman to UArts and be there to guide them in their first semester.
What advice would you give to new students before they get to campus for their first semester at UArts?
Be yourself and work hard! College is no joke, so don't waste time trying to fit in. Remember what you came here to do and keep your goals in mind.
