AAP CONNECT Program

AAP CONNECT is a special orientation for incoming AAP students!

AAP CONNECT is a free program that will jumpstart your UArts experience with academic and professional development workshops and activities, designed to help you make a confident transition to college and have continued academic success. At CONNECT, you will meet new classmates, upper class peer leaders, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Be sure to check your UArts email throughout July to have the most up-to-date information on CONNECT 2023!

CONNECT 2023 Dates: August 14 - August 22

  • CONNECT 2023's virtual programs will begin August 14 and complement New Student Orientation. Early move-in for residential students and on-campus programs begin August 17.

  • 3pm Campus walk w/ Peer Leaders (optional) 

  • 6:30pm RA Meetings in Res Halls 

  • 7:30pm Movie Night

  • 10am The College Toolbox Workshop 

  • 11am Rock Climbing Field Trip

Saturday, August 19

  • 7pm The Lion King at The Academy of Music

  • 9:30am Global Dance Workshop

  • 11:15am-4pm Bucket Drumming, Improv, and Bookmaking Workshops     

  • 5:30pm BBQ Picnic & Karaoke Dance Party

  • 10:30am AAP Celebration Brunch & Final Presentations

Students who accept the invitation to the AAP and register for CONNECT must attend all workshops and events
