Workshop: Art Studio

Jessie Clark is an artist and educator living in Philadelphia, PA. Clark works with semi-representational imagery, sprawled over a variety of available surfaces. These days, mechanical pencils on raw canvas are her weapons of choice.

In 2011, Clark co-founded Champions of Empty Rooms and Manifesto-ish. Through these enterprises, she has taken on many roles including curator, collaborator, organizer, discussion moderator, and coordinator of artist in residence programming. Jessie has exhibited her work in a range of different venues, including the Delaware Museum of Art, Gormley Gallery at Notre Dame of Maryland University, and Christoff Gallery in Seattle, WA. Her paintings are featured in the 2008 film If You Could Say It In Words. She received a BFA in Studio Art from Syracuse University and an MFA in painting from the University of the Arts.
