Art Unleashed 2016 to Feature Charon Kransen Arts/Books

Hard-to-find books and exhibition catalogs on jewelry, metal and design will be for sale

Charon Kransen Arts/Books, the most specialized resource for books and exhibition catalogs on jewelry, metal and design from around the world, will be featured at the 7th Annual Art Unleashed Exhibition & Sale, set for April 7-11. Sales will take place at the Opening Night Party on Thursday, April 7, as well as on Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 9 from 12 to 5 p.m.

With over 2,000 titles, Charon Kransen Arts/Books sells hard-to-find and out-of-print books and catalogs on historical, ethnic, technical and contemporary crafts – including jewelry, metal, glass, textile, paper, ceramic, mosaic, baskets and more. Kransen, who is a trained jeweler, is also a private dealer, representing jewelry artists at art fairs and museums throughout the country. Charon Kransen Arts/Books is the recipient of the 2015 Best of Manhattan Award in the Books category.

Now entering its 7th year, Art Unleashed has raised over $1,800,000 for the Sam S. McKeel Promising Young Artists Scholarship Fund, which has helped over 1,000 students attend the University of the Arts since 2010. Art Unleashed showcases the work of our talented students, faculty, alumni and staff from a variety of disciplines, including cutting-edge contemporary jewelry, furniture, ceramics and glass, and world-class photography, painting, sculpture and illustration.
