JOB TITLE: Assistant Director for Graduate Admissions
REPORTS TO: Assistant Vice President for Admissions
The Assistant Director for Graduate Admissions oversees prospective student management and admission and enrollment processes for graduate programs. The Assistant Director for Graduate Admissions, with the AVP, Dean for Graduate & Professional Studies, and Graduate Program Directors, ensures that University faculty and staff are meeting pipeline benchmarks and enrollment goals. This position is directly responsible for the implementation, monitoring and assessment of graduate enrollment processes and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with the Admissions team to design, develop, and direct the graduate review process for the University
- Provides reports and analysis of graduate recruitment activities, prospect conversion, and enrollment yield
- Engages in prospect management for graduate programs; communicates directly with prospective applicants about programs and admissions and enrollment processes
- Oversees graduate application review processes; provides technical support and training in use of Slate CRM and advises on best practices and resources for review of applicant credentials for all graduate faculty, Program Directors, Deans, and staff.
- Works with the Admissions leadership team to contribute to the development of programming, best practices, and content to support enrollment at all levels of study
- Collaborate with the Assistant Vice President (AVP) to create a comprehensive graduate recruitment and communication strategy that closely aligns with our enrollment objectives
- Monitor accuracy of data collection at all points in admissions cycle, from inquiry through enrollment
- Oversees documentation, digital tools, and accurate lists to graduate faculty and staff to support recruitment and yield activities
- Coordinates between Admissions Operations, Graduate & Professional Studies, and Marketing & Communications teams to develop content and ensure accurate delivery of email and print pieces including recruitment materials, event invites, and decision letters.
- Assists the AVP for Admissions with special projects, research, and initiatives as needed
- Supervise and implement efficiencies for the application, material collection, and reading, decision, and notification processes
- Manage the enrollment process from inquiry to matriculation in terms of responsiveness to university leadership, Program Directors, Deans, staff, and other offices.

- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Degree in visual or performing arts, or 5+ years directly related experience in visual or performing arts preferred.
- 3 + years of experience in admissions, enrollment management or relevant fields.
- Experience with Slate or other university CRM and knowledge and proficiency working with student information systems.

- Computer skills including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, customer relationship management systems, student information systems, and the ability to learn new systems quickly and thoroughly.

- Ability to travel and work weekends and evenings, with a valid driver's license.
