Alexander Kirillov is an artist, educator and master printer with over four years of experience at the University of the Arts, working in both the Book Arts & Printmaking (MFA) and the Studio Art (MFA) programs. In addition to teaching both studio and seminar classes and serving on numerous thesis committees, Alexander is the master printer in charge of the Book Arts MFA print publishing program, The Atelier.
Alexander has over 10 years of collaborative print experience at professional fine art studios: Tamarind Institute, Brandywine Workshop and Archives, Brodsky Center for Innovative Editions, and Durham Press. Alexander specializes in lithography, relief, monotype and intaglio. Alexander owns and operates Stonefox Editions in Philadelphia and is a partner and master printer at Panik in Mexico City. Alexander holds a BFA in Printmaking and Art History from the Massachusetts College of Art (MassArt), a Master Printer Diploma from Tamarind Institute, and an MFA in Printmaking from Tyler School of Art at Temple University. He resides in Philadelphia and Mexico City.
