Applying for admission to a graduate program?

We seek students who have achieved strong academic records and demonstrate talent in their chosen creative disciplines.

When we evaluate applications, we consider a variety of factors, from your recent employment experience, to your letters of recommendation, to your sample work. Academic record evaluation is a component of the evaluation process, but not the ultimate deciding factor. Please be sure to submit official transcripts from all prior undergraduate and graduate studies.

Graduate Record Examinations (GRE)

GRE scores are encouraged, but not required, for all programs. To register for the GRE, go to Educational Testing Service at We will accept both the old and new GRE. Official test scores must be sent by ETS to the University. The correct institution code to use when requesting scores is 2664. You do not need a departmental code.

Portfolio & Audition Requirements

We place as much value on your creative accomplishments as we do your academic record. Find out whether your chosen program of interest requires an audition, interview, or submission of a portfolio of work.
