There are two types of work study jobs in OTIS Support Services:
This is an entry-level work study position. Students need only to be moderately computer savvy, but definitely need to be responsible and reliable. Responsibilities for this position include opening, monitoring, cleaning and closing the computer labs. Students should be prepared to answer some general computer questions and promptly report any and all issues to either their supervisor or the Help Desk staff.
Phone Operator & Lab Monitor Supervisor
This position requires students to be very tech savvy. Responsibilities include performing preliminary technical investigations when problems are reported, working with the Help Desk ticketing system, delivering, setting up and retrieving equipment, and representing the Help Desk at the Service Center assisting faculty, staff and fellow students with technical issues.
