Students can contact our office by emailing counseling@uarts.edu. We respond to emails Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Outside office hours, students experiencing a mental health crisis should contact UArts Public Safety 215-717-6666 to connect with our Counseling on-call staff.

Our office in Gershman Hall room 205 will be open to students with scheduled in-person appointments and for walk-ins. Virtual appointments will remain available for students who wish to meet with their counselor virtually.
Walk-in appointments will be hosted in-person and virtually. Students with emergent needs should contact counseling@uarts.edu for assistance.
UArts Counseling staff will continue to communicate through email, and you are welcome to email your counselor with questions, concerns or scheduling. If you are an existing client working with a therapist or a graduate intern, you can contact them directly at their UArts email for scheduling.
If you are an existing client who has visited with us at any point since the beginning of the spring 2022 semester, expect an email or a phone call from one of our staff members to set up a followup appointment (in person or virtual) if you need or want one.

If you are a new client, email counseling@uarts.edu to schedule your first appointment.
If you have agreed in advance that the session will be conducted online via Zoom, your therapist will email a link to you so you can access the session URL.
If you have agreed in advance that the session will be conducted in person, arrive at our office (Gershman 205) at least five minutes before your appointment to check in. Wipes will be available as well as hand sanitizer. The waiting area will be arranged to encourage distancing. Masks will be required while in the office and during your appointment.
For students who want an evaluation for medication, ask your therapist, and they will try to schedule you for a one-hour evaluation, according to availability. UArts Counseling Center staff will conduct evaluations either by phone or online video conferencing and make referrals as necessary.
