Corporations & Foundations
Corporate and foundation support are essential for maintaining and strengthening UArts programs, scholarships and more.
University of the Arts is committed to inspiring, educating and preparing innovative artists and creative leaders for the visual, performing and media arts of the 21st century. Corporate and foundation contributions support the excellence and innovation that make UArts a vibrant cultural resource to the city of Philadelphia and the national creative economy.
UArts alumni are creative entrepreneurs, designers at Fortune 100 companies, Broadway performers, leaders in their communities and much more. UArts’ nearly 1,700 students and 500 faculty are at the center of one of the nation’s most culturally vibrant cities on Philadelphia’s Avenue of the Arts, which bustles with performances, exhibitions and collaboration all year long.

Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program
UArts' Pre-College Programs are certified by the commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an Educational Improvement Organization. The Department of Community and Economic Development issues approval letters to business applicants awarded Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) tax credits. Businesses must apply online annually to be considered for credits. Businesses then have 60 days to mail contributions to eligible nonprofit organizations. There is still time for approved businesses to take advantage of this unique tax credit opportunity—while also helping to provide children with the high-quality arts education that is characteristic of UArts.
Pre-College Programs offer students in grades 1–12 hands-on arts education with instructors who are professional working artists. UArts is committed to accessibility by awarding full and partial scholarships to students with financial need. High-quality, out-of-school arts programs have been shown to improve students’ self-esteem and college and university matriculation rates.
We rely on EITC contributions to support this longstanding program. Contact Brenton McCloskey at 215-717-6138 to make a contribution or receive more information about Pre-College Programs or the EITC program.
