Stephen Berg is the author, editor and translator of numerous books, including New & Selected Poems (Copper Canyon, 1992), The Daughters (Bobbs-Merrill, 1972), Grief (Grossman-Viking, 1975), In It (University of Illinois, 1986), Oedipus the King, translated with Diskin Clay (Oxford, 1977), and Naked Poetry and The New Naked Poetry, edited with Robert Mezey (Bobbs-Merrill, 1969 and 1976). His awards for poetry include a Guggenheim fellowship, a Rockefeller grant, a Pew fellowship, a PEN grant in translation and the Frank O’Hara Memorial Prize from Poetry. Currently a Professor of Humanities at the University of the Arts, he has taught at Princeton University and Haverford College, and is the founder of The American Poetry Review.
