Rande Fleishman Blank is a Visiting Assistant Professor & Interim Director of Graduate Studies of the Post Baccalaureate Programs at the University of the Arts in the Department of Art + Design Education. She is the certifying officer, service learning & graduate assistantship coordinator in the Art Education Department and advisor to the Saturday Arts Lab for elementary education for Continuing Studies. She has taught numerous courses in the department and presently supervises student teachers and teaches the Saturday Arts Lab Seminar.
Rande was an Adjunct Professor for Tyler School of Art at Temple University supervising student teachers and at Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia supervising and teaching in the Master of Arts Education program. She has numerous years of experience teaching art and special education in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for private and public schools. Prior to her career in education, she was a graphic designer and most recently, a mosaic artist. Her artwork has been exhibited in faculty shows at the University of the Arts and MCAD.
Rande has worked with special needs children throughout her career and presently holds professional workshops for educators and college students and presents at National and State conferences (NAEA & PAEA) on topics such as Curriculum Adaptations, Strategies & Adaptive Aids for students with Special Needs, and Service Learning.
