Profile
P. Seth Bauer is the author of "Early in the Mourning," "Over the Line," "Dahlia," "Iphigenia," "The Karma Cookie," "The Umbrella Play," The Burglar of Suburbia," "The Tip" and numerous one-acts and several children's plays.
His plays are published by Dramatists Play Service, Samuel French, and Smith and Krause, and have been produced throughout the U.S. and in Europe. His work has won awards from Actors Theatre of Louisville, the New York Innovative Theatre Award, the Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Play Festival, ACTF, the Barrymore Award for Excellence in Theater (Outstanding Collaboration), Remi-Coeur Award and the NYC 15 Minute Play Festival.
Bauer has a BA from Oberlin College and an MFA in Playwriting from the University of Texas at Austin where he was a James A. Michener fellow. He was named one of the "People of the Year" by NYTheatre.com for making a significant impact on the theater in New York. He teaches Playwriting and Dramatic Literature for the Ira Brind School of Theatre Arts.
