Michael has been a musician and performer basically his entire life, playing guitar since the age of 6 and performing since the age of 11. With a Masters of Music Performance degree from The University of The Arts, in the past Mike has taught Improvisation, Musicianship, Transcription and Analysis, private guitar lessons and coached ensembles.
Spanning decades, Mike's professional music career has seen him perform a cross section of musical styles from Jazz to Pop and Rock. He has performed in venues from Las Vegas and Reno Nevada to England, Scotland and places in between. Having studied from the areas best guitar teachers such as Pat Martino, Jimmy Bruno, Bob DiNardo, and Tom Giacabetti, Mike now balances his teaching at UARTS with performances with Peter Nero and The Philly Pops, the Philadelphia Theater scene and local jazz venues.
