Matt Gallagher

Matt is the prototyical lead trumpet player, with extensive credits with many professional bands in Philadelphia and Atlantic City. He has performed with several Broadway show productions and artists including Lou Rawls, Patti Austin, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Joni Mitchell, Barry Manilow, Bernadette Peters, and many others. At UArts, Matt is the Coordinator of the UArts Big Band and conducts numerous concerts with that group, and teaches trumpet, Brass Methods, Rehearsal Techniques for Big Band, and directs the Brass Ensemble and the High School All Star Grammy Jazz Ensemble at The University of the Arts.
