Statement: My creative process includes a degree of precision, balanced by an embrace of the natural resistance inherent in all media. I am interested in representation without illusion, the intermingling of faith and doubt. My work speaks about its own material vocabulary even as it responds to my experience. For the past year and a half, I have approached my studio practice as a daily ritual of memory, an effort to understand what is lost, and what remains.
