Chris Farr

Chris Farr is a performer, an educator, a clinician, and a composer/arranger who plays the saxophones, the flute, and the electric wind instrument, known as an EWI. Chris graduated with honors in 1994 with a Bachelors in Music, from UArts. Chris continued his studies and, a year later, earned a Master of Arts in Teaching. Today, Chris is on faculty at UArts as an Adjunct Assistant Professor, where he teaches saxophone, improvisation, and directs various ensembles. Chris balances a busy schedule of local and international performances and recording dates. Through the years, he has performed, recorded, and toured world-wide with Maynard Ferguson, Jill Scott, The Roots, Fantasia, Mary J. Blige, Erykah Bahdu, Gerald Veasley, Joey DeFrancesco, Larry Carlton and many others.
