Chris's academic specialization concentrates on the culture of modernity from the protestant reformation to the present. His specific interests are southern U.S. literature and history, the Harlem Renaissance, and contemporary American poetry. In addition, Chris is an accomplished professional blues guitarist who plays extensively in Philadelphia and the tri-state region.
