Artist Statement:
Anne Schaefer's work consists of large-scale installation, works on paper and objects. In each, repeat pattern is employed to explore the opportunity for endless variables within limited modular systems. Complex relationships are arrived at through a combination of simple shapes, basic building structures and color.
