Alec Karros is a studio potter and adjunct professor at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He received his MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and his BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art, now UArts.

Alec has also taught at SUNY Oswego, the University of Colorado and the University of Washington.

He has lectured widely, including presentations for the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design, the National Council for Education in the Ceramic Arts, Pratt Institute, Ohio State University, State University of New York at New Paltz and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts.

He has exhibited nationally and internationally. His work will be featured at the 2014 Conference of the National Council for Education in the Ceramic Arts.
