Off-Campus Database Access Troubleshooting

Are you having difficulty accessing any of our electronic databases from off-campus?
Your library record must be current in order to log in remotely.

If your library record is ok and you still have trouble check the following:

• Are you using America On Line (AOL) as your browser?
In a word, don't. AOL 8.0 users need to download and install a separate copy of Internet Explorer, although this will not guarantee success.


• Check your cookies and your cache.
Empty all of your saved cookies.
Make sure that your browser will accept cookies from UArts.
Empty your browser's cache.


• Are you sure that you typed your name as it is in the library's records? Type first name last name. Call 215-717-6280 and ask a staff member to check your record. Typos happen!


• Input your library barcode number correctly with no spaces.


• Consider downloading a more recently released browser. The Java applets will be friendlier with the library's interface.
