Steve began working at the University of the Arts in 2005. His focus has been giving students the opportunities to collaborate across majors and departments while giving them the confidence and accountability to own what they create. Prior to coming to UArts, Steve worked as a programming coordinator for La Salle University where he created a safe community that stressed the importance of cross-cultural celebrations. During his college years at Temple University, he earned his B.A. in English with minors in Business and Italian. He later began his tenure as a resident director at the Tyler School of Art while earning his M. Ed. in English Education. In 2009 Steve earned his TESOL certification from Drexel University and now teaches part-time at the University of the Arts' English as a Second Language Institute (ESLi). In his spare time Steve continues to run with various running clubs while training for his sixth marathon.

Tanika is a senior International Student from Jamaica. Her major is Jazz Studies in Vocal Performance. She is the lead producer for the Cafe Series (a monthly event held at the University), assists Steve with Student Development & Activites, serves as a Peer Tutor, and was a resident assistant for two years. In her spare time she volunteers at the Freedom Theater's children program and the Red Shield Family Homeless Shelter. Though she is on the path to becoming a performer and entrepreneur, her true ambition (a secret obsession) is to become a spy for a random European agency.
