Peer Tutoring Staff
Peer Tutors are undergraduate and graduate UArts students who have been recommended by their faculty, have completed tutor training, and are qualified to tutor in their subject areas.
Interested in Becoming a Peer Tutor?
Tutoring is a great way for you to help other students, strengthen your own skills and earn money.
The Peer Tutor position is an excellent opportunity for students interested in education, leadership and mentoring, arts administration, or general professional development. Students interested in teaching are especially encouraged to apply.
This is a Federal and Non-Federal Work Study position and is open to all students who are qualified.
To become a Peer Tutor you need:
- 3.0 CUM GPA
- 3.0 GPA in course(s) you'll tutor
- 2 Faculty references

Please note that tutors are usually hired at the beginning of each semester.
Residential Peer Educators
Through the Residential Peer Educator program, students receive tutoring and academic assistance in their residence halls. A Residential Peer Educator (RPE) is part of the residential staff and offers programming and tutoirng in the hall lounges.
The student lounges in Juniper and Pine Halls are open to non-resident and commuter students.RPEhours are listed outside of the student lounge in the residence halls.
