Kathleen Embleton

Director of Student Life

Kathleen Embleton currently serves as the Director of Student Life at the University of the Arts. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Residence Life including the supervision of programming, housing and the student conduct system. 

Kathleen joined the University of the Arts in June 2011 after serving most recently as the Director of Administration and Student Services at a small, private college in Dublin, Ireland, where she was responsible for the management of all areas of student services and served as the co-chair of the quality assurance committee.

She moved to Ireland in 2002 to serve as the Dean of Students at the American College, Dublin. In this position, Kathleen was responsible for all areas of student services including the administration of the study abroad program. Before moving abroad, she spent three years at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla., where she started her professional career as Director of Student Activities.

She holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Middle Education and a master's degree in Counseling and Psychology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. Currently Kathleen lives in Philadelphia with her Irish husband, Carl.
