This comprehensive program is designed to encourage students to learn more about themselves and how to become active leaders on our campus. The Emerging Leaders Program will be modeled after the Student Leadership Challenge by Kouzes and Posner. The Student Leadership Challenge is utilized by colleges and universities across the nation to teach students the 5 practices of exemplary leadership.
The Emerging Leaders Program occurs each spring semester, with the nomination process occuring in the fall semester.
Nominations should be submitted to Kristen Burkett at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, November 20, 2015. To nominate a prospective student leader(s) or to self-nominate, students must have a 2.5 GPA or higher and be first or second year students.
Interest meetings will be held on December 1, 2015 at 5pm in the Levitt Foyer and on December 2, 2015 at 12pm in Terra 831.
