Dean of Students

Message from the Dean of Students

Welcome to the University of the Arts! It is my sincere privilege and pleasure to serve UArts as Dean of Students. My particular focus is your life outside of the studio or classroom, where some of your most profound growth takes place. Whether it's through negotiating with your roommate, leading freshmen through orientation, hashing out conflicted feelings with your counselor, or a multitude of other experiences, you are learning from the opportunities you afford yourself beyond your artistic and academic endeavors. As such, I encourage you to participate fully in the life our unique campus.

The Office of the Dean of Students Office also performs particular functions critical to your success, including oversight of the University's community standards and judicial system, and outreach to parents. Our office also works closely with students facing acute difficulties and those exploring the potential for taking a leave from the University temporarily. Ultimately, we are committed to your growth and smooth transition into and out of the University.

While I enjoy every moment serving as your dean, nothing gives me more satisfaction than seeing you walk across the stage at commencement - knowing you have transformed during your years at the University of the Arts.

Please look through the pages of this site to find the answers to your questions. Do not hesitate to call our office at 215-717-6617 or visit us on the third floor of Gershman Hall.

Sincerely,

Dr. Greg Nayor
Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean of Students
