Winterbreak on the West Coast
After all this time, I'm back! I had a wonderful relaxing winterbreak back in Oregon. The main reason I was so excited to get back home was to see my three cats, whom I missed very, very much. I got to see friends that I haven't seen since summer, and I spent a lot of time with them.
The most exciting part of the break was when my family drove up to Vancouver BC to go skiing in Whistler. The driving took forever, which was only made worse by the fact that sometimes, my dad drives like a crazy person and I still get carsick.
We stopped for a night at my brother's house in Tacoma, WA, to help him get settled into his new apartment (since he's graduating in the spring, he's moving out of his old house). While he was moving, he found an old game boy pocket with Pokemon Red Version.
We stopped one night and stayed in a cabin in the middle of freaking nowhere, Canada. There was no wifi and no cell phone service. As a tumblr addict, it was embarassed how upset that made me. Luckily, I had a game boy pocket and I could play Pokemon to my heart's content. I still love Pokemon, and I am not ashamed.
The skiing in Whistler was fantastic. The mountain is absolutely massive. We weren't able to see everything there was in the four days we were there. We stayed at the base of Blackcomb, one of the two areas on Mt. Whistler, within walking distance of the first chair lift.
My mom is sending me pictures, so I'll be sure to post them soon!
