As the semester draws to a close I figured I'd share with you guys how my finals have been going and what I've been working on. In my Object & Enviornment class Found and Fabricated myself and two of my friends worked together to create a final installation for the class' final project and boy did we work! The class is called found and fabricated because we use found objects that are readily avaliable to us and fabricate them to make a larger project. For our final we created a beehive out of plastic bags, paper towels, styrafoam balls, plastic rectangluar seals, marshmellows, cups and wire. With this we created a whole beehive with bees around it and also honeycomb-like textures inside to make it feel like a real beehive and make it interactive.
For my Design class we chose the topic of organization and how to make it easier in your personal life. I related my project to UArts because in the dorms there isn't much to help you get organized and stay that way so myself and two of my classmates created storage units that slide under the dorm beds that are great for storage and easy access.
So those are just SOME of my final projects I've been working on, I'll post the final pictures of them later on. Hope finals week is treating every well and goodluck!
