Catching up with family
This week my dad came up for a day to see me. I'm originally from Massachusetts so it's not always easy for anyone from my home town to come and see me. When he came we went out to breakfast, went grocery shopping and for about three hours walked and drove around Philadelphia, just talking with each other. It was great to catch up with my dad and seeing him really reminded me of how much I miss my family and friends from home. It's coming to that point in the semester where everybody is just aching for a break and I look forward to Thanksgiving Break. But at the same time it's prompted me to make time to call my relatives and friends and keep connection. Now it feels as if I never left home and I just brought them all with me to school. And as excited as I am to go home, I know I'll be just as excited to come back to my other home in Philly.
My name is Collin and I'm a sophomore acting major here at UArts. I have been acting since I was about nine years old and I love pursuing an education in something I'm really passionate about. Philadelphia is an amazing city and working for UArts has really given me a personal connection with this city and the university.
