Albert Nobbs and Daniel Radcliffe as a One Note...

So, this week I saw "Albert Nobbs" one night, and "The Lady in Black," the next... you should do one of those things. Can ya guess which one? I really hope so.

Did I blog last week? No!! Because I took a surprise trip to NH to visit my sick mama to make sure she was all right... and then I had a looott of make up to do when I got back. It was important to me to make sure things were going better there than they had been recently, and my family will always come before UArts.

New Classesssssss

So, I’ve had all my new classes and I am excited to say that all the Liberal Arts courses I took seem like they’re going to be reeeeally interesting. I’m taking Adult Psychology, Personality and Adjustment, and Chinese Philosophy with Ben Olshin! I missed Ben Olshin from my Sophomore year, sooo much- I’m really glad I got the opportunity to have him again before I graduate! :D And Fabian Ulitsky teaches both of my other psychology courses, and apparently this is his last year at UArts.

Lazy Tuesday

Well, I just got done making peppermint fudge for my teachers and boss/director, Steve Saylor. It's 1:57AM... I also went to Fabric's Row tonight to get a bunch of stuff for my mom's christmas present! I'd love to post pictures on here when it's all done. Hopefully they'll think of a way to make that possible for me, in time. :)

Drip Drip Drop

It's been raining here in Philly for the last few days... it made carrying a giant stick 20 blocks and back quite the experience! No big deal, though. The "Puck's Broom" prop from A Midsummer Night's Dream is coming along very nicely. Getting it home, it only sustained a few cuts and bruises... I may have to glue a few more fairy gemstones onto the uppermost part of the handle. But, as broom abrasions go, those were not that big of a deal.

OH MY GOD YOU MUST ALL GO SEE CONTAGION!!! It's SO good!!! I think I might have to restart my Movie Blog again just to talk about it, more.... One of the best "End of the world" dramas I've seen in forever. Seriously. Not that it's about "The End of the World" exactly, but it thrives in that feeling of desperation. I loved it. I went to see it earlier today with Dan, Shaina and Angela. We went to the Roxy Theatre on 20th- where they only take cash, by the way... so save yourself the same embarrassing situation that Angela and I faced, and BRING CASH. Anyway, go see Contagion.

The good and the bad

Guess who's taking advantage of the school's free Counseling serviceeesss?? That would be me. Turns out, this previously mentioned anxiety problem is now more of an issue than I am qualified to deal with... the standard cognitive therapy I've been working on myself since I was 13 years old is no longer cutting it... I needed help.

Senior Year

Senior year has started!! I CANNOT believe it’s finally here. The amount of ridiculousness is mindboggling. Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten to enjoy it as much as I wish because I’ve had the flu for the past week. Ugh ugh ugh ugh. I think I got it being an Orientation Leader because it seems like all of us got sick at some point. However, it’s also been one Hell of a summer.

Writing for Film and TV '2012
Bedford, New Hampshire

Hullo-- I'm Jaimie and I have been blogging for UArts for the last four years. :) I'm a senior now, and while I enjoy screenwriting, I've taken a special interest in makeup as well! My hope is to me a Primary Makeup Artist on film sets or for a television network, and write my screenplays on the side to sell. I hope to go to Cosmetology school next year to get an official degree to help me secure a day job in that field. I also enjoy history, serial killers, folklore, and Drag Queens! :D
