School Year Coming to an End!

We've got, what? Two weeks left? WHERE IN THE WORLD has this year gone? I remember talking about how fast senior year went after High School Graduation and I think freshman year of college just may have gone faster. The weather is finally being nice, and I mean that as opposed to the weather being rude. (I give humanistic traits to the weather because I feel that it victimizes me with dreary, cold, and disgusting days.) My spirits are extremely high and I owe most of that to the beautiful weather. Two more weeks and i'm outta here for Summer break!

I am all for a good snow day or two, but it seemed like this Winter went on FOREVER. I got so sick of the cold very quickly and all I wanted was a nice warm (even hot!) day. Summer is where I thrive and I have always been a Summer kind of guy. Thankfully, this week has been nothing but beautiful and a true taste of Summer. The fact that a "Summer" thunderstorm was even thrown in the mix just made it ten times better! I was actually out at the park, playing frisbee, eating fruit in the sun, and doing whatever I could to remain outside.

It's a great feeling to know that you have inspired someone to do something good. That is the case with me as I was given the opprtunity to speak to the kids at my old elemtary school about my YouTube journey, determination, and following your dreams. It was such a warm-hearted and satisfying experience as I saw such greatness in the kids. Talking about my YouTube career, I was able to inspire kids to begin creating their own videos for YouTube. I was welcomed and the kids were so excited. We even made a harlem shake video!

Deadly Infection!

If you're anything like me, than you over-react when it comes to sickness. Therefor, it isn't a shock that I named my illness-themed video "DEADLY INFECTION." Honestly, it truly felt like it. With asthma and allergies, getting sick is usual for me, though this was one of the worst times i've ever felt. Passed on from my roomate, I was given such a terrible infection that left me bed-ridden and crying for the outside world. Wow, I really do make it sound movie-like. I knew it was going around, I just hoped that it wouldn't find me.

Thank You, Alarm Clock

There is one sound that I truly despise- the blaring sound of an alarm clock. What a horrible noise. Therefor, I use my phone alarm. I can't, however, pick an uplifting song because it isn't powerful enough to wake me up. I have to use the typical alarm clock sound effect and I have to accept it. Though, there are times when the alarm clock wakes you up and instead of hitting the "snooze" button, you hit the "off" button. Yesterday I woke up at 8:30. The only problem with that is- my class starts at 8:30. What an exciting morning that was.

Promoting Yourself is Good

I have truly learned recently that promoting yourself is an overall good thing. Last semester, I had a class called "Video Production." This six hour class was the time when we would be creating the films as opposed to simply learning about them and how they are created. Our final assignment could be whatever we wanted it to be. There were very little guidelines as to what the film had to be and so I let my imagination run wild.

No Rest for the Creative Mind

The title of this post is just an excuse to justify why it is 7 in the morning and I still haven't gone to sleep yet. Any other student would say that they haven't gone to sleep yet because that are deep into finals-related work. However, I just can't say the same. I don't have anything due tomorrow, nor do I have any reason to be up right now. I could have actually gone to sleep early but instead, I decided to kill myself by simply not going into a cozy bed and getting a good nights rest. Insomnia? Maybe.
