Fee Waivers and Legacy Scholarship for Children of Alumni
UArts will waive the $60 application fee for children of alumni applying for full-time undergraduate or graduate enrollment. Children or dependents of University of the Arts alumni are eligible for a Legacy Scholarship, which provides a 10 percent reduction on their tuition. For more information, please contact the Office of Admissions at 800-616-ARTS or email@example.com.
Off-Campus Housing Website
The Office of Student Life is pleased to announce the UArts Off-Campus Housing Service. Each year the University receives requests from students, parents, and faculty and staff for information and assistance finding off-campus housing. This web-based service provides students with a user-friendly searchable database to find off-campus housing in the Philadelphia area, and provides area owners/managers with a tool to market their properties to the UArts community. The service will also include educational components designed to help students by providing useful tools and information to assist with their renting experience. This site is free for UArts students, parents, and new faculty and staff. Questions or comments can be addressed to Kathleen Embleton, director of Student Life, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (215) 717-6970.
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible to maximize their financial aid opportunities. Even if students or their parents have not completed their tax returns yet, they can still complete the FAFSA using estimated income information. Once students and parents have completed their tax returns, they will have the opportunity to sign back into their FAFSA and have their tax information imported directly from the IRS using the IRS Data Retrieval tool. The IRS Data Retrieval tool is a process that helps streamline the FAFSA by allowing online FAFSA filers to pull specific tax return data directly from the IRS. The retrieval tool will save students and parents time and increase the accuracy of FAFSA information. Please note, not all online FAFSA filers may be eligible to use the IRS Date Retrieval tool. The FAFSA should be completed online at FAFSA.gov. Be sure to include UArts school code 003350.
For more information, please contact TJ Walsh, manager of Alumni & Parent Relations, at email@example.com or (215) 717-6149.
