ANNOUNCEMENTS

IMPORTANT: University Forum scheduled for this Wednesday, Nov. 19

Faculty, students and staff are invited to the University Forum this Wednesday, November 19 at 11:30 a.m. in Levitt Auditorium of Gershman Hall. The Forum will be dedicated to a discussion of the Middle States Self-Study report, focusing on the major themes that have emerged. The session will provide the opportunity to touch on what have we learned through the Self-Study process – what challenges we have identified, and in what areas we have made progress since the last accreditation visit – and to invite questions or feedback. We hope that in addition to providing your written comments on the report (which can be accessed by logging in to the University portal at http://myuarts.uarts.edu), that you will join us for this important conversation.

New Registration Requirement for Spring 2009
Starting this semester, all students must update their address and emergency contact information before they will be permitted to register. Access to the registration screens will not be available unless this information is updated. To ensure you will be able to register, prior to the registration start time, log onto the MyUArts Portal and click on the MyUArts Record tab, then on the “Address and Data Change” link and update your information. To be sure that you have successfully updated your address, visit the “Check My Permission to Register” link. Look for the flyer in your student advising packet that explains this requirement and how to update your information.

Spring book ordersThe end of the semester is rapidly approaching and it is now time to think about Spring book orders. All books should be ordered for the Spring semester by December 5th. Placing book orders at this time will ensure that your books will be on the shelves for the start of the semester. The UArts School Store is happy to announce that the “Book Buy Back” program will be available to students during the week of finals, Dec 10th-19th.

The Cherkashins have exhibited in Moscow, London, Paris, Vienna New York and Tokyo. Their work is to be found in many American museums, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
