Multimedia Senior Wins Philly Ad Club's 'Rising Star' Honor

PHILADELPHIA (April 15, 2009) - University of the Arts Multimedia senior Marquis Mosley recently earned the "Rising Star" honor from the Philly Ad Club. Mosely is the second student from the University's College of Media and Communication to earn the honor this academic year, following Matt Trigaux, who won the honor in the fall. The Philly Ad Club's Ad News magazine names 10 "rising stars" in each of its issues. The "rising stars" were inaugurated this year.

Specializing in motion graphics and sound design, Mosely creates title sequences, independent music videos and scores for short films and Web-based television shows. A fan of short fiction writing and interactive design, Mosely is designing an animated storybook based on an original urban fairytale.

A native of Ardmore, Pa., Mosely graduated from Lower Merion High School in 2003.

For more than 61 years, the Philadelphia Advertising Club, a non-profit organization, has served the industry's professionals with distinction. It is one of the region's largest and most active trade associations. It represents Greater Philadelphia Ad Agencies, Greater Philadelphia Interactive Agencies, Philadelphia Media Buying Agenices, other specialty agencies, Philadelphia Broadcast and Print Media, and more. It also publishes Ad News magazine, a 68-page full-color, bi-monthly publication that covers all that is Philly Ad News.
