University Winter Break: December 22, 2008 – January 4, 2009

University facilities will close on Friday, December 19 at 5 p.m.
Residence halls/dorms will close at 5 p.m. December 21, 2008, and re-open at 8 a.m. January 15, 2009.

Only UArts faculty, staff and graduate students with a valid UArts I.D. will have access to open campus buildings (Anderson, Hamilton, Gershman and Furness) during the Winter Break, and only during posted building hours (see below). Building heating levels will be maintained at minimal maintenance levels. It is suggested that you dress accordingly should you plan to be on campus during this period.

With the exception of Christmas and New Year's Day, when no access is permitted to any University Building, Anderson, Hamilton and Furness Halls will be open 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Gershman Hall from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; access to Hamilton and Furness Halls will be from the Pine Street security guard station.

Terra Hall, Arts Bank, Drake Theater, 309 S. Broad St. and Merriam will be closed until Monday, January 5, 2009.

All University buildings will be open from 8 a.m. – midnight.
Administrative offices will re-open and undergraduate students will be granted access on Monday, January 5, 2009.

Graduate students with a valid UArts ID will have access to studio spaces in Anderson and Furness Halls during the Winter Break according to available building hours - except when buildings are closed. A current list of UArts graduate students is posted at each applicable guard station.

Only those individuals with authorization are permitted access and must sign in and show proper University I.D. A property pass must accompany items or equipment removed by University personnel.
