UArts Hosts Exhibition on Queer Identity

Curated by Alumnus and Senior Lecturer Jordan Rockford BFA ’00 (Photography), Where We Find Ourselves originated at the Woodland Gallery at Penn State Abington before traveling to the University of the Arts. Through works in painting, photography, video, digital collage, mixed media and performance, the exhibition focuses on the intersection of queerness and everyday life and how queer identity is both formed and affirmed in mainstream culture.

Participating artists include Adrain Chesser & Steven Miller, Kelli Connell, Zackary Drucker & Amos Mac, Chitra Ganesh, Jamil Hellu, Ryan Wilson Kelly, Brice Peterson, Tuesday Smillie, Chad States, Lorenzo Triburgo and Jonathan Van Dyke.

Opening reception on Wednesday, March 22, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Please RSVP.

Performance by Jonathan Van Dyke on Tuesday, March 28, at 6 p.m. in CBS Auditorium, Hamilton Hall.
