“Making It,” the annual young alumni exhibition that showcases the work of new graduates from the last 10 years, will begin accepting submissions on July 18. The exhibit will be on display in the Hamilton Hall Galleries September 23 through October 28 during Family Weekend and is part of a year-long series of events celebrating the University’s 140th anniversary.

This year, the “Making It” jury features distinguished members of the UArts and Philadelphia arts community, including Mark Campbell BFA ’74 (Sculpture), dean of the University’s College of Art, Media & Design; Jordan Rockford BFA ’00 (Photography), a senior lecturer and academic advisor at UArts; 2016 Pew Exhibitions Grant recipient Kelsey Halliday Johnson, curatorial fellow in Photography & New Media at the Michener Art Museum; UArts Alumni Council member Eric Preisendanz BFA ’10 (Sculpture); and student juror Alexa Snellbaker ’17 (Photography; Fibers & Textile Studies minor).

Submissions are open to University of the Arts undergraduate and graduate alumni from the classes of 2006 through 2016. Only artwork created after graduation is eligible for submission.
