Six-week student/alumni program is co-sponsored by the Knight Foundation and Drexel's Westphal College and Close School
May 6, 2014
The Corzo Center for the Creative Economy at the University of the Arts has partnered with Drexel University's Westphal College of Media Art & Design and its Close School of Entrepreneurship to present the Entrepreneur Program Summer 2014.
This competitive program – open to six graduating seniors from Westphal and Close and six seniors, graduate students or alumni from UArts – is designed to provide an opportunity to invent careers that are not dependent on the traditional rules established for creative artists, as well as to provide an opportunity to test ideas developed while in school. The deadline to apply is May 30 at 5 p.m.
Funded by the Knight Foundation, Westphal College, Close School and the Corzo Center, the six-week Entrepreneur Program begins July 7 and ends August 15; all sessions and classes are during the day, four days a week.
The program includes a $3,000 stipend, training, consultants, workspace and the opportunity for additional funding up to $15,000.
