October 22, 2013

Cassandra Baez ’16 (Interdisciplinary Fine Arts) is one of only 13 local students selected to participate in EmpireCovers’ Halloween Car Cover Contest. The company manufactures covers for cars, trucks, boats and other vehicles.

Baez will compete against students from a number of Philadelphia-area colleges and high schools to transform a plain car cover into a Halloween-themed masterpiece. The winner will be chosen by online voting.

A top prize of $1,000 will be given to the designer of the car-cover creation earning the most votes. The covers with the second and third most votes will earn $500 and $250, respectively. The winning pieces will also be featured on the EmpireCovers website and social media channels for the year and for next year’s competition.

Show your UArts pride and vote for Baez's Frankenstein design! Voting ends October 31.
