Matt Tarosky BS '07 (Industrial Design) has taken what he learned his junior year in ID Associate Professor Anthony Guido's Nonprofit Technology Resources class all the way to Peru this summer, volunteering with Architecture for Humanity (AFH) there.
While AFH builds a school, Tarosky is building a wind turbine out of used materials with the goal of getting electricity into some of the farmers' homes in the village, which currently have none.
After only a week there, he already had one prototype ready to go. Tarosky is cataloging his process with images on Tumblr.
