Submissions for 'Making IT' Alumni Exhibit Now Being Accepted
Juried show, coinciding with DesignPhiladelphia and Family & Alumni Weekend, to feature works by recent alumni from the classes of 2003 through 2013

The University of the Arts is pleased to invite submissions for "Making IT: Alumni Works '03 - '13," a juried exhibition of works by recent alumni. Submissions are open to all University of the Arts alumni from the classes of 2003 through 2013, including undergraduate and graduate alumni. Only artwork created after graduation is eligible for submission.
"Making IT" will be on display October 10 – 27 in the Hamilton Hall lobby and on the first floor of Solmssen Court (320 South Broad Street), with a reception scheduled for Friday, October 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The show will coincide with DesignPhiladelphia, the nation's largest city-wide celebration of design being held October 10 – 18, as well as the University's Family & Alumni Weekend, which will take place October 18 – 20.
The jury for "Making IT" features distinguished members of the Philadelphia arts community and notable UArts faculty and alumni, including alumnae Veronica Cianfrano MFA '10 (Painting) and Jessie Clark MFA '10 (Painting), co-founders of Champions of Empty Rooms; alumna Christy Blanca Gonzalez BFA '01, MA '09; Christopher Sharrock, dean of the College of Art, Media & Design at the University of the Arts; and Shelly Spector BFA ’94 (Sculpture), UArts senior lecturer and renowned Philadelphia artist.
The deadline for submissions is August 19. Artists selected for the exhibition will be notified the week of September 16.
